How to Save Money!

Set your wedding date "off season" - sometime between October and May.
- Most venues are less booked up, so you will have a greater selection to choose from.
- Many venues and services offer off season discounts
- Guests are often more available to attend weddings that are not during summer holidays
- It's a good time to go on a hot weather honeymoon
Set your wedding date for a Friday night or Sunday. Most venues offer significant savings for having your wedding any day other that Saturday. You will also have a much larger selection of available venues than if you book a Saturday.
Choose local, seasonal flowers. Go for style and colour rather than specific flower types. You will be amazed by how much money you can save!
Use the same flowers for your ceremony and reception.
Use the bride's and bridesmaids' bouquets to decorate the head table.
If you have a lot of out of town guests coming, arrange discounted group rates with one or two convenient hotels.
If you plan to serve wine, talk to local vinyards. You might save money if you buy directly from them.
Find out what types of decorations your reception hall has. They may provide candlesticks, vases, lights etc.
